
Rosters: No Roster limit, 20 player awards maximum. Final Roster deadline is at checkin of your first 2012 PGF National Qualifier. All Players and Coaches must be registered and approved by PGF. Your official roster can be printed at the Player Registration/SportsAgeID link located at the PGF Official website. Once you have played in your first 2012 PGF Qualifier your roster will be frozen. You may add additional players to your roster, provided these add-on player(s) have not participated in a 2012 PGF Qualifier, for another team. If a team plays in a 2012 PGF Qualifier and does not qualify, then declares they will not be particpating in any further 2012 PGF Qualifiers, those players would then eligible to be picked by other teams. Returning Berths and Invited Teams Rosters - Rosters will be frozen as of Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:59pm, PST. After June 15th you may add additional players to your roster provided these add-on players are not playing for another PGF sanctioned team, who is actively trying to qualify for the 2012 PGF National Championship. 2012 PGF National Championship Final Roster Deadline - TBD Age Divisions - The 18U Division will now be based on age as are the other Divisions. A player need not have attended HS in 2012 but may NOT have participated in any practice, conditioning or play with any JC nor 4 year college/university in the current school year (September through June). All age divisions must be no older than the PGF age for their respective divisions as of January 1, 2012. This information will be verified when purchasing PGF insurance or registering as a PGF team. Proof of age will be satisfied in the PGF registration process and no individual proof of age will be required at tournament check-in. Coaches will be required to present a printout of their team roster from their PGF registration account. Coaches must show proof of a PGF background check. We will NOT ACCEPT a backgroud check from ASA. If a player is on a team’s roster that qualifies at a PGF qualifier she may not be on another team’s roster at the National Championship event in either the 18u, 16u or 14u divisions. Qualifiers: Teams will check-in with official PGF rosters, obtained from the PGF Registration/Insurance website. Also teams must show proof of Insurance at checkin. We will accept any form of Team Insurance at our Qualifiers. (PGF, ASA, etc) Attending Qualifiers (Once Qualified or Invited) Any team that has an invitation and/or qualifying berth is ineligible to play in 2011 PGF Qualifier Tournaments. If a team chooses to play in a PGF Qualifier they will forfeit their previous 2011 invitation or berth National Championship: Teams will check-in with official PGF rosters, obtained from the PGF website. We will only accept PGF Insurance and PGF Rosters obtained from the PGF Registration/Insurance website at the National Championship. No other form of ID or Insurance will be acceptable. Playing Rules: Both the Qualifiers and National Championship tournaments will be played using NFHS rules with the following exceptions. Pitching distance - 12U & 14U Division 40 Feet 16U & 18HS Division 43 Feet Both feet must be in contact with pitching rubber prior to forward stride. If ejected a coach must sit out next game. At check-in all coaches must show proof of a PGF background check. Tie-breaker will begin at the top of the 8th inning. Run-Rule, 10 after 4, 8 after 5, 6 after 6. In the So Cal 12U Qualifier we will not use the 6 after 6 tie-breaker. Time-Limit, No time limit in bracket games. Time limits for pool games will be posted on the pool schedules based on the time restraints we have on some fields. Team listed first in pool or top of the bracket to occupy the third base dugout unless a team from the prior game is in that dugout. Protests to be handled on the field by the UIC of that site, a tournament official and the Umpire who made the call, there will be a $50 protest fee to be returned if the protest is upheld. Coin toss for home/visitors will be at the scorer’s table at the respective fields. In the So Cal 12U Qualifier coin-toss will be at home plate before the game begins. There will be Official Scorekeepers for all games but the home team scorebook will be used in case of a computer issue with the scorekeepers. In the 12U So Cal Qualifer the home team scorebook will be the official book. Both teams should check the umpires score card after the game. No metal cleats in the 12U nor 14U division
